How would you describe yourself?
The MOD is going through a great many changes and one being
how it interacts with businesses.
An effective, energetic and committed professional with strong
technical, training and managerial background. (Work colleagues
call me a ‘Noisy Yorkshire Man’)
What’s the best thing about your job today?
Working with businesses and developing strong relationships with
employees.
If you could do any job in the world what would
it be and why?
This is the best job in the world for me or I would have moved on.
What opportunities led you to where you are
today?
We’re still going at it non-stop and looking forward to a busy year
ahead.
Calm with a diplomatic approach to most things in life.

today?
Previous experience, family, and the vision of becoming an
entrepreneur.
I’ve had some fantastic opportunities working in MOD, media,
corporate development, charity and fundraising, marketing and
international roles. The dynamic people who I worked with gave me
the knowledge and confidence to see the opportunities.
Who has given you the most inspiration?
Who has given you the most inspiration?
Don’t look back.
My parents were successful business people and always an
inspiration to me. However, having married my best friend, closest
competitor and biggest supporter it could be Alison. (Please don’t
tell her!)
What advice would you give to someone just
starting out in business?
Do what you enjoy the most, be passionate about it.

It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
What word or phrase do you overuse the most?
Leave it with me.
