Wintersgill Associates celebrated its tenth year
in business by donating £10 for every tax return it
completes for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice
in Oxenhope.
The last ten years has seen the company grow
from a small start-up business to a mature SME
with a team of eight. Paul Wintersgill, founder
and managing director, said: “To be able to mark
our tenth anniversary by helping Manorlands is an
amazing way to celebrate as it is a cause which is so
close to the hearts of many of our team members.”

PUSHING THE
STEM AGENDA
As part of its campaign to make young people more
aware of the career opportunities within engineering,
air management experts, Mansfield Pollard are
undertaking a number of initiatives available at
Skipton Girls’ High School.
The business recently participated in the opening
celebrations for the School’s new STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Maths) innovation
centre. The centre provides a state-of-the-art
learning environment that teaching staff will use
to encourage student engagement in the subjects
which make up STEM.
Joanna Robinson, managing director, said: “We have
a responsibility to educate and inspire students and
motivate them to explore the varied and exciting
career opportunities which the many disciplines
within engineering have to offer. We’re committed
to encouraging students to make engineering their
career choice and also to encouraging diversity
within the sector.
“Current research shows that only 6 per cent of
the engineering work force is female and that
we’re facing a significant skills and talent gap.
Encouraging more young women to develop
careers in engineering is a real imperative.”
