Warner confirms that ‘bottled water’ is the fastest growing beverage in the world today, as people become more fussy about drinking water and maybe more suspicious about what is coming out of the tap. “We see a lot of potential for growth. The flavoured waters are doing well, so we are monitoring that closely. There are 10 different waters on the market here in Grenada, 4 local and the rest imported, so it’s a bit early for us to say what our market share is, but we are gaining ground on all of the established brands. We estimate that the total bottled water market in Grenada represents around 350,000 cases per year.” “We have excess capacity at this plant so exporting will play a big role in our sales strategy going forward.
