Publishers Letter Welcome to W elcome to another edition of BusinessGrenada Magazine, the only magazine dedicated to the promotion of business, investment and highlighting the vibrant entrepreneurial skills that can be found throughout our Tri island state. We hope that in these pages readers can catch a glimpse and insight into some of the brightest minds on the island and feel inspired to do something themselves, both for themselves and involving others. In talking to the owners of these businesses in a process of interview dialogue and exchange what becomes a common thread running through their minds is that they all share the desire to make their business a success, contribute positively and in so doing, make the independent state of Grenada an even better place than it already is. These ideas for change come from “We the private sector” as Denis Noel of Nutmed says. In this issue we explore New Luxury Villas, and how Bernardo Bertucci of LaLuna Estates is pushing for a process of Fractional Ownership which could change the way people own property when investing on the island. In the yachting sector we see that Grenada has the potential to become the leading yachting destination in the southern Caribbean, blessed with a number of stunning locations that attract both international and local investors, Yacht Tourism is poised for continued double digit growth, clearly an industry that will add jobs, skills and benefits to the entire economy. We explore the potential benefits from a shared yachting space that would make the Grenadines more easily accessible and create a more symbiotic relationship between Grenada Grenadines and St. Vincent Grenadines for the benefit of all. Hotelier Leo Garbut succinctly puts that ownership in Calabash Villas is a “lifestyle choice” and ownership here is a commitment to the island. Grenada is rich in products that are being made from the Agricultural sector and more research and development in these areas could potentially change the way the world looks at medicine and beauty products. We think that you will be delighted to see that there is a growing manufacturing sector that is gathering steam and in our “Made in Grenada’” special edition we highlight the company’s and the people behind them. We applaud all entrepreneurs for their endeavors, Our loyal and special advertisers for sharing and participating in our vision and the common thread that you have all stated, and that is, Grenada is a special place, with a number of people committed financially and otherwise to its success. Enjoy the contents of these pages, as we look forward to introducing You to Grenada to the World. God Speed, and let’s do some business!
