orn to Carriacou parents in London, Gloria was sent to Carriacou from England at the age of 3. Here she was raised by both grandmothers. She would later swap locations a few times till a seemingly eventual return to England at 15. In Carriacou I was a very a good student, and going to England I noticed the teaching levels were so different, I felt that I was better educated in Carriacou ...I was very good at Algebra in Carriacou and when I went to England we weren’t even doing that yet” “I love figures.” She says... seems like they have put her in good stead. So how did you get into Business? “One day ..A boyfriend said, We should open a ‘Jerk Chicken’ shop in London, so I left work, found a shop, took out a lease and next thing I know its ten years later.” She quips, “I just did it as a challenge and then went from there to my own Nightclub/Wine Bar” “I always wanted to come back to Grenada, I was fortunate to experience England, but the thought of returning was cemented in me.” Now finally back home in Grenada, Gloria’s latest venture she describes as a “template from England” except the
