s a Yachting destination, Grenada is unique for many reasons. It is home to a winning combination of beautiful waters, stunning beaches, warm friendly locals, reasonable berthing fees, excellent yachting services and a number of world class regattas. The island’s pristine waters and spectacular reefs, were rated highly by ‘Scuba Dive’ magazine- “#1 for best dive and best wrecks.” Grenada currently has the largest wreck dive in the Caribbean with the 600 ft long “Bianca C”. Recently the island’s yachting received a huge boost when one of the world’s most recognized names in bare boat charters - ‘The Moorings Yacht Charter Group’ - returned to Grenada, with a new base at Port Louis Marina. It would be remiss to ignore the fact that Grenada is considered to be out of the hurricane belt – Its strategic location of just 12 degrees north of the equator, allows for a fair degree of safety from hurricanes and year round insurance coverage.
