Conferencing T A Flamboyant Success he Flamboyant Hotel is a small locally owned and run boutique hotel which truly has the ability to create a bespoke stay; be it for an exclusive beach or garden wedding, a conference or a long overdue holiday. The property’s accommodations are located on a hillside above Grenada’s famous Grand Anse Beach, with 67 well appointed rooms including deluxe suites that offer commanding sea and beach views. The three conference rooms, air conditioned gym, beachfront restaurant, and on property scuba facilities and lounge are at the end of beautiful Grand Anse beach amidst beautifully manicured gardens. “ We are a 3 star hotel that offers highly personalized services, and over the years have built a strong reputation for our conferencing and wedding facilities,” declares Samantha Bartholomew, the events coordinator at Flamboyant for the last two years. For weddings and conferences the Flamboyant can accommodate up to 200 persons in a theatre style, 150 persons in a banquet style, and 65-70 in a u shape or horseshoe set up. Of their 3 conference rooms, “The Oleander” is 1,620 sq ft and can be divided in 2 at 810 sq ft each if a smaller space is required. “We have PA’s, projectors, Screens, Flipcharts and Whiteboards, all in house. Items like video conferencing facilities can easily be sourced externally.” Bartholomew states. All rooms are camera and video friendly, and soundproof. The Flamboyant host an average of 4 conferences a month, inclusive of large and small meetings, Government conferences and press conferences, annual meetings, Board meetings, International delegates, and company retreats which some clients have been hosting here for the last 15 years. All catering is done in house as they have a very proficient kitchen department, with fine chefs and support staff. Their philosophy is that it is your event so you choose exactly what you want whether that be a fully vegetarian menu or Beluga Caviar and pink champagne. “We pride ourselves in accommodating our clients wishes and make sure that their special day or occasion exceeds expectations. We’ve been open for 22 years now and we have had repeat guests since that time so its obviously a formula that works.” Recent recipients of Trip Advisor’s “Award of Excellence” proves vacationers are giving kudos to the Flamboyant, with a 90% rate of excellence. Open 7 days a week, it’s the kind of place you can have a few drinks, shoot some pool, listen to some music, and eat a burger even at 3am. “We usually close at 3 am but if the place is busy we stay open till daybreak....that often happens!” says Bartholomew.
