That opportunity led to the opening of Trichology Salon located at 14101 North May Avenue, Suite 110. “I worked at another salon and one of my (former) co-workers asked me if I would like to open up a salon,” she said. “Over the next six months we put a business plan together and we found an investor and from there we opened up Trichology in 2008.” Briggs said Trichology is a one-of- a-kind salon, in northwest Oklahoma City, featuring the latest state of the art 16 September 2018 | The Business Times equipment and services including online web booking, Thermal Digital Heat Processors and free Wi-Fi service along with multiple flat screen televisions and a décor package with the look and feel that rivals any “high end” salon in New York, or L.A. Their products include Wella Professional Color. Briggs and her husband Travis became the sole owners of Trichology earlier this year. “In February of this year my husband and I took total ownership of Trichology,” she said. Travis Briggs has been working as a hairstylist for eight years. Cutting hair and forming trusting and lasting relationships with his clients is his passion. He also serves as the salon’s education director. Recently, he has devoted a great deal of continuing education to men’s cutting and styling and is working toward a position as an educator for V76. Briggs is dedicated to staying current and finding the best look while offering excellent customer service. “Trichology means the study of hair,” he said. “From the beginning we have been a salon that prided ourselves on continuing education and staying passionate. We have a lot of stylists here that travel and take classes all around the country.” Mrs. Briggs said she knew she wanted to have a career in hair design.
