5 CONQUER THE COAST TO
HONOR USS LEXINGTON //
Conquer the Coast, presented
by H-E-B, returns for its 15th
year on Saturday, September
15. It may be the "quinceañera"
year for South Texas' premiere
cycling event, but 2018 is
also the 75th anniversary of
the commissioning of the
USS Lexington CV-16. Event
organizers plan to honor the
"Blue Ghost" in a variety of ways,
the first being the design of this
year's commemorative jersey.

before July 20 to receive at
packet pick-up. With 66, 21,
and 10-mile courses, Conquer
the Coast continues to be one
of the fastest growing rides in
North America. Register to ride

The Chamber Foundation
proudly announces Leadership
Corpus Christi Class 47 and
Steering Committee. Leadership
Corpus started in 1972, it is the
third oldest leadership program
in Texas, preparing existing and
emerging leaders in Corpus
Christi. Thirty participants are
carefully screened and selected
each year to attend a ten-month
intensive training program
designed to prepare dedicated,
visionary leaders with passion to
improve the quality of life for all
persons and institutions in the
Corpus Christi community. Click
