It may be the "quinceañera" year for South Texas' premiere cycling event, but 2018 is also the 75th anniversary of the commissioning of the USS Lexington CV-16. Event organizers plan to honor the "Blue Ghost" in a variety of ways, the first being the design of this year's commemorative jersey. Leadership Corpus started in 1972, it is the third oldest leadership program in Texas, preparing existing and emerging leaders in Corpus Christi. Thirty participants are carefully screened and selected each year to attend a ten-month intensive training program designed to prepare dedicated, visionary leaders with passion to improve the quality of life for all persons and institutions in the Corpus Christi community.
