The 3rd annual Picnickin' &
Politickin' mixer took place at
BUS (Bar Under the Sun) the
evening of April 23. This one-
of-a-kind event provides the
opportunity for our members and
the community to mix and mingle
with candidates and elected
officials in a casual atmosphere.
We had great participation by
our local elected officials and
Chamber members. Attendees
enjoyed food truck cuisine,
cocktails and live music. Thank

2 SWEET LESSONS IN
ENTREPRENEURSHIP //
Saturday, May 12, 2018 was the
sweetest Lemonade Day Coastal
Bend to date. The 6th annual
event, presented by the Coastal
Bend Home Builders Association
Parade of Homes, introduced
hundreds of local youth to
entrepreneurship, teaching them
how to start, own and operate
their own business - through
the hands-on experience of
running a lemonade stand. A
special thanks to our Lemonade
Day Coastal Bend sponsors,
program mentors, volunteers
and the dedicated entrepreneurs
who worked tirelessly to run
their lemonade stands on May
12! All are invited to attend the
Lemonade Day Entrepreneurs
Breakfast and Awards Ceremony
at Embassy Suites on July 18.
