LEADERSHIP CORPUS CHRISTI
ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF 47 TH CLASS
The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation is pleased to announce the participants selected for Leadership Corpus Christi ( LCC ) Class 47 . Thirty applicants are carefully screened and selected each year to participate in the 10-month intensive training program . This will be the program ’ s 47th consecutive year . Class 47 will kick off on August 9th with a Welcome Reception hosted at the Bay Jewel Event Center .
The purpose of Leadership Corpus Christi is to prepare dedicated , visionary leaders with passion to improve the quality of life for all persons and institutions in the Corpus Christi community . Sessions are designed to educate our city ’ s current and future leaders on the issues and opportunities facing the city . Topics include quality of life , diversity , education , economic development , government and servant leadership principles throughout . A Steering Committee of past alumni helps plans the programming each year . Natalie Villarreal , with Del Mar College , is the LCC Class 47 Steering Committee Chair .
Leadership Corpus Christi was founded in 1972 and is the third oldest leadership program in the nation . It is a program of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation .
