am pleased to report a very successful Coastal Bend to Washington, DC event! The
trip took place October 3-5 and 34 people participated including, Corpus Christi
Mayor Joe Mc Comb and Port Corpus Christi Chairman Charlie Zahn. Because of the
unique and urgent circumstances produced by Hurricane Harvey, we had wide par-
ticipation from the Coastal Bend and therefore were able to present a united front
on Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. We had Chamber CEO’s from Ingleside, Aran-
sas Pass, Portland and Port Aransas as part of our delegation. Our message was well
received and we even heard encouraging news regarding tax relief for businesses
and individuals affected by Harvey (see page 25).
