• Monday, April 2, 2018: A public conversation on Women, Com-
munication, and Leadership with TAMUCC President, Dr. Kelly
Quintanilla. UC Lonestar 142A; 7:00- 9:30 p.m. Open to the pub-
lic. Refreshments served!
• Tuesday, April 3, 2018: Networking mixer for local communi-
cation & media professionals, TAMUCC students and alumni.
House of Rock; 5:00- 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 4, 2018: Keynote speaker Dr. Miranda Banks
talks about current and past attempts to diversify the media in-
dustries. UC Oso Room 221; 3:00- 4:00 p.m. Open to the public.
• Wednesday, April 4, 2018: A special film screening of
Dunkirk at the Alamo Drafthouse, hosted by Professor
Emeritus Bill Huie- a TAMUCC institution and favorite of film
students for many years. 7:00 p.m.
• Thursday, April 5, 2018: Dr. Banks brings her game Room at
the Top, a massively multiplayer card game about how we col-
laborate in creative environments, into the classroom. IH 163;
12:30- 1:45 p.m.
• Friday, April 6, 2018: The San Antonio Chapter of the Public
Relations Society of America will host a luncheon on campus
and a discussion, Crisis Response and Recovery: Tips for Nav-
igating Hurricanes and Other Company Disasters. Open to the
public, requires reservation. UC Lone Star Ballroom A; 12:30-
1:30 p.m. In order to register and reserve a spot for the lun-
cheon, click here! The deadline to register is Tuesday, March
27. Cost is $30 for PRSA members, $40 for guests, and $10 for
TAMUCC and San Antonio students.
