oastal Compass Education and Career Resource Center at La Palmera Mall welcomed the United
Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce as their newest partner at the January 30, 2018, Buenos
Dias mixer, hosted by Citizens for Educational Excellence.
“As the chief advocate for the entire business community, the United Corpus Christi Chamber of
Commerce will be an asset as a Coastal Compass partner by providing resources from the business
sector that provide a connection to education and a career-ready workforce,” commented Citizens
for Educational Excellence Executive Director Dr. Janet Cunningham.
Citizens for Educational Excellence, a 501(c)(3) local education organization, established Coastal
Compass in partnership with Corpus Christi ISD, Corpus Christi Literacy Council, Craft Training Center,
Del Mar College, Education to Employment Partners, Education Service Center Region 2, Saint Leo
University, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, University of the In-
carnate Word, and Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend. The comprehensive, one-stop resource
center offers individuals free information on all types of educational and career development pro-
grams with the goal of preparing Coastal Bend residents with the education and skills necessary for
the region’s jobs.
