CUSTOMIZED HIRING EVENTS
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend (WFSCB) provides more than 300 hiring events annually to more
than 35 local employers. Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), The Results Customer Solutions
Company, and Securitas have used monthly, and in some cases weekly hiring events to meet their hiring
needs. Corpus Christi Independent School District and the Regional Transportation Authority also
participate in hiring events throughout the year.
While hiring events are not new, they are best suited for WFSCB Career Centers because it is the only
organization in the region with a large, concentrated group of people actively seeking employment daily.
It is also an opportunity for the employer to be on center stage rather than one of many options at a
multi-employer job fair.
