LATEST NEWS APPOINTMENTS: Lift-off for Bournemouth Airport with new Managing Director Bournemouth Airport, owned and operated by Regional & City Airports (RCA), has appointed Stephen Gill as their new Managing Director. ACHIEVEMENTS: Albert Goodman breaks into the Top 50 UK accountancy rankings Stephen, who commenced his role on Thursday 11 th October, is responsible for the general management and strategic development of Bournemouth Airport. Haseltine Lake announce new CEO After 17 years at international IP firm, Haseltine Lake, Lesley Evans has stepped down from her role as CEO. Taking her place as CEO, with effect from 1 st October, is Rolf Stein. Rolf joins Haseltine Lake from the energy technology company Advanced Plasma Power, where he has been CEO for the past seven years. Barclays appoint new head of Mid-Corporate South Barclays has appointed Paul Kempster to lead the mid- corporate market for the South of the UK. The role will see Paul work to deepen both existing and new client relationships, operating between £6.5m and £25m turnover. Bristol Airport appoints new CEO Bristol Airport’s new Chief Executive Officer, Dave Lees, has now started his role at the company. Lees was formerly the Managing Director of Southampton Airport – which during his time at the helm, achieved record passenger numbers and high customer satisfaction scores. 6 Albert Goodman has announced that it has broken into the Top 50 UK Accountancy firms ranking. The firm has been listed in the Top 50+50 Accountancy Age 2018 rankings for the first time since the chartered accountants, tax consultants and financial planners was established in the South West over 150 years ago. Coming in at number 50 is testament to the 8.5% organic growth achieved by Albert Goodman and highlights the South West region as a great place to do business. ForrestBrown celebrates fifth year of growth This month, R&D tax credit consultancy ForrestBrown is celebrating two significant milestones – reaching its fifth birthday and planting 4,500 trees through its partnership with TREE AID. Bristol-based ForrestBrown now employs over 80 full-time staff, and average year-on-year revenue growth is over 90%.
