bottom plate , this double wall construction provides effective additional leak protection , even under extreme conditions , such as fire . Underwriters Laboratories Inc tested the fire resistance of the container in compliance with the NFPA 30 fire protection directive . The SX-D passed this test , allowing it to be filled with highly flammable liquids and used in Ex-zones 1 and 2 . The SX-D can also be used for hazardous goods or other sensitive filling goods such as toluene diisocyanate ( TDI ). Until now , these filling products have been packed in smaller containers with a lower volume , such as steel drums , to ensure that less liquid can leak out in the event of an accident . The double wall of the SX-D plus the steel coat greatly reduces the risk of hazardous products leaking . At the previous Interpack in 2014 , Schütz debuted its new Foodcert and Cleancert line for demanding products . With the Ecobulk Foodcert + Aseptic and Cleancert + Dualprotect , Schütz has taken things up to the next level when it comes to safety and cleanliness . The company is now offering these IBCs with a liner system including UN approval . During the production of Ecobulk Foodcert + Aseptic containers , the integrated liner and valves are sterilised by gamma radiation – for highly sensitive applications that are handled under aseptic conditions . The liner is made of high quality LDPE film which unfolds and aligns itself automatically in the inner bottle during filling . This additional component combines several advantages : the integrated liner minimises oxygen contact during filling and within the packaging . It prevents the filling product changing when exposed to oxygen . The risk of contamination is avoided , and there is no risk of the filling product coming into contact with condensate which can form inside the inner bottle , which extends the product ’ s shelf-life . Encased in the leak-proof IBC bottle , leaks are effectively prevented .

Schütz also presented several innovations for PE drums , including Automatic Lock , a bung capping system with a seal of originality . Visitors to Interpack were able to test the new system , where an automatic F1 tight-head drum capping station was set up for demonstration purposes . They were able to see for themselves that it is impossible to remove the cap without breaking the seal cap , as the inner seal ring is firmly incorporated in the ring . The filling product is fully protected against unwanted discharge or contamination .

Warm welcome for Condepols

Spanish big bag manufacturer Condepols attracted visitors ’ attention with its wide range of bags . Among the products on display , visitors could see for themselves the most common big bags , such as the versions with one and four straps ( D1 and D4 , respectively ) and more technologicallyadvanced versions , such as Type C or Aquabag . Visitors were also able to see the latest model launched by the company : the M-Cube , a big bag with automatic aperture . The Condepols team was satisfied with its participation and the warm reception received , declaring that it had exceeded expectations , offering countless opportunities for international business .
