LUNCH BREAK!

Everyone in the Builders Club has his/her own unique reason for working with Habitat. But the answer that never really varies when you ask a Builders Club member WHY they keep coming to Habitat is, "I love the fellowship." Habitat is a lot more than just a non-profit organization that does great things for people in need ! Habitat is a club. It's a place where like-minded people go to spend time with eachother while also doing good in the community. It's a place where people from all walks of life can share an experience.

So, even though lunch break is a tiny part of a 6 hour build day, never underestimate the importance of 6 guys sitting together for 30 minutes on a stack of wood munching on goodies and chatting about life!

in my life met such a group of people dedicated to any cause. So, I am in awe of each and every one of you. I am in awe of the volunteers I get to interact with on a daily basis. I am in awe of the bare-bones staff that sets all the wheels in motion. I am in awe of the families I get to meet who work so hard to give their children a more solid foundation (literally and figuratively) from which to build their futures on. I am in awe of the community that rallies together to improve their neighborhood.

So, why this?

Because of YOU.

Why now?

Because NOW is the ONLY time to do good in the world.

Why me?

Because I'm just lucky, I guess? (I certainly feel lucky when it comes to this place).

Thank you for a great year. I hope it's the first of many great years to come.

Much love,
