REVIEW: Firebolt by Adrienne Woods is an inventive and
interesting read for young adults or even older readers. We
follow Elena Watkins from our world to that of Paegeia, where
she is enrolled at Dragonia, an elite academy for dragons and
their riders reminiscent of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter books.
The political climate and elements of Paegeian history are
excellently woven into the story without becoming boring, and
Elena’s journey of self-discovery is well laid out, her character
development increasingly satisfying.
