The project is a new half-acre park on a former
industrial storage site. The landscape architect worked
with a large, diverse community of stakeholders and
a variety of public agencies to create a unique and
practical design. The design asserts a definition of
“play” that engages the young and old, and places
topography and vegetation at the center of the
recreational experience. The park includes numerous
custom designed elements including slides, swings,
a climber, a spray fountain that doubles as a movie
screen, as well as custom benches tables and chairs.
