The design concept for this residential landscape was conceived as a series of small outdoor rooms that knit into the steeply sloping topography , presenting a series of subtly terraced spaces that visually connect with the modern style home . The design is expressed with simple forms and clean lines that gain richness through the palette of materials . The intimate garden rooms are organized in varying levels , each with a unique character , function , and level of enclosure or vista . Views to the nearby reservoir were restored , visually connecting a portion of this intimate site to the vast landscape beyond .
