Over a four-year period , the firm worked with the IDEXX Corporation to re-envision the exterior spaces of its headquarters . What started out as a simple planting plan for entrances grew into an exploration of the role the landscape plays in this corporate setting and the connections it can make to the culture of this organization . The firm completed a master plan for the campus property and subsequently developed plans for a new administration building .
The firm ’ s efforts focused on supporting IDEXX ’ s everyday use patterns , business operations and work habits , outdoor health and fitness opportunities , as well as conserving important environmental and natural attributes of the property . The Synergy Center is the largest administration building and landscape in Maine to obtain LEED Gold Certification .
