Bryn Athyn College men’s lacrosse head coach,
Tucker Durkin, is as positive, energetic, and motiva-
tional in person as he seems through his social media
efforts. When he is out on the turf coaching the Lions
and says, “Let’s go to work,” he knows exactly what
he’s asking, because nobody puts in more effort than
he does. When he isn’t actively coaching or commu-

nicating with recruits, it’s not uncommon to see him
doing sprints alone on the field or going through a
rigorous workout in the gym. In part, it is this hard
work and personal dedication that has taken him
from being a successful collegiate player to a world-
renowned defenseman.
Tucker played at Johns Hopkins University,
starting all 54 games of his collegiate lacrosse career,
and along the way he made second team all-American
in 2011, first team all-American in 2012 and 2013,
won the William C. Schmeisser award in 2012 and
2013 and became a semi-finalist for the Tewaaraton
