t was beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the Pebblebrook Lady Falcons stepped onto the court for the Carrollton Christmas Classic. First up was Griffin (Griffin, GA).The Falcons tore down the Bears with a win of 70-53 on Thursday.

Next to go up for the challenge was Harrison (Kennesaw, GA). The Hoyas came in after a 57-50 win against Troup County (LaGo inrange, GA). However they failed to keep that

momentum and ultimately lost to the Lady Falcons by a tight 43-38.

In an attempt to achieve a 9-1 record the Falcons met up with The

Carrollton Trojans (Carrollton, GA) who came into the competition with a

9-2 record after defeating Newnan (Newnan, GA) 41-33. The Lady Falcons

scrapped a little bit harder and came out the victor in a 63-62 win which

secured them the Championship.

Spirits were high and the Falcons were ready but the opponents in the

Campbell Holiday Classic weren’t quite ready for what they were about to

encounter. The ladies first took on the North Miami Pioneers (North Miami, Fl)

and secured an overwhelming victory with a score of 44-22.

Coming off of that jaw-dropping win, the Lady Falcons prepared for their battle

against The Creekview Grizzlies (Canton, GA). The Grizzlies went in with a 9-3 record

after they defeated Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA), 51-25. But their luck soon ran

out when they lost the second round to the Falcons 45-38.

Clinching that second round took the Lady Falcons to 12-1 for the season with a chance

to face the Mareitta Blue Devils (Marietta, GA). The Falcons were successful in holding off

the Blue Devils with a final winning score of 33-27 and claimed the 2018 Campbell

Holiday Classic Championship. The win gave them a 13-1 standing for the season.
