were ready to hit the hardwood and win some games this season. And also like the Falcon men, Coach Brittny Jones and her squad had a phenomenal season last year. They finished in the number two spot in the 2-7A region, and also secured a spot in the state championship battle and made an appearance in the “Sweet 16”.

With a brand new young team as well as a new Junior Varsity coach, after the departure of Assistant Coach Ashley Curry who transferred out of state, Coach Jones knows there will be some challenges to overcome but is certain they can conquer any adversity they may be faced with. "This is one of the most resilient and competitive teams that I have ever coached," she says. "They are just a phenomenal group of student athletes and I would not want to coach any other team.

Jones says the players and coaching staff have done a great job of being receptive to challenges on and off of the floor and have remained persistent over the course of the season. She believes that it is important to remember that this is a process and that success doesn’t happen over night. "Before each game, we share the 'keys to success'." The majority of the “keys to success” she says, are game intangibles of things that must get done that do not show up in the box score. She instills in both JV and Varsity that in order to win championships you must not be afraid to be selfless and do the little things that no one ever gets credit for like diving for lose balls and taking a charge.

There is no limit for the Lady Falcons, so sit back and watch them take flight.
