Fantastic Science
Our programs encourage the innate drive to run and explore
the outside world. Children’s sense of wonder is engaged as
they set out to discover the magic of fall: From late prairie
bloomers and leaves changing color, to animals preparing for
winter. We achieve these goals through outdoor adventures,
unstructured play, science experiments, art projects, role
playing and storytelling. These classes help children become
comfortable in the outdoors. Please dress for the weather.

Mini Adventure Skills
[Grades 1-6]
Go fishing, learn to use simple tools to build your masterpiece
using natural materials, learn to cook camping food favorites
over a campfire. Choose one adventure or join them all.

Kindergarten Naturalists
[Grade K]
Foster your child’s sense of wonder and caring for the earth.
Use senses and scientific tools to explore the habitats of Heller.
Hands-on exploratory learning in the outdoors encourages
inventive problem solving and creativity, and stimulates
imagination. Helps your child become comfortable in the
outdoors.
