| Family Highland Park Downtown Metra Station Register early ! This event sells out ! All aboard for a magical journey of imagination to the “ North Pole ” ( Waukegan ). Wear your favorite pajamas and listen to a classic holiday story on board the train . Write your letter to Santa , snack on a cookie , and meet some holiday characters on the way . Bring your camera to take a photo with the whole Claus family and make some memories to last a lifetime . Don ’ t forget your singing voices- caroling is required ! Participants must register at the address where they reside . Both the adult and child must be registered for the event . Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times .
