early childhood & kindergarten CAMP SUNSHINE & MORE CAMP SUNSHINE Ages 3-5 The perfect “first camp” opportunity Campers follow a schedule of 30-45 minute activities throughout their busy day. Each day is filled with exploration, socialization, confidence building, and creating memories of a fun-filled summer! TBA Parent Party Swimming • Three-day a week campers attend swim lessons once per week at the Recreation Center of Highland Park the experience: • Five-day a week campers attend swim lessons two times per week at the Recreation Center of Highland Park • Field trips to Centennial Ice Arena, Heller Nature Center, Hidden Creek AquaPark, local parks, Rosewood Beach, Recreation Center of Highland Park, Sunset Woods Park, and more! • Camper swim skill level is evaluated on the first day of lessons; campers are grouped accordingly • Visits at least once per week to Rosewood Beach or Hidden Creek Aqua Park • Visits from professional entertainers • Campers only allowed in zero depth area and splash pad only at Hidden Creek • All-Camp special event • Indoor/outdoor art projects, songs, and games • Campers allowed to wade up to their waist at Rosewood Beach • Show and tell • Ratio for swimming 3:1 • Lunch time (brought from home) staff: Bus Trips • Campers will ride buses to various Highland Park locations • Buses are equipped with seat belts and campers are secured in their seat by camp staff • Parents are welcome to observe field trips, admission must be paid when applicable 14 “My son had the BEST experience!
