Performing Arts DANCE The Dance curriculum at West Ridge Center provides students of all ages with a high-quality and enjoyable dance education. The program is centered on a fun and nurturing environment that allows students to grow and advance at their own pace. Introductory classes focus on movement and coordination. Class levels progress to a more disciplined routine of stretching, technique and choreography while promoting self-confi dence. For more information on dance programs, call 847.579.3131. Attire Ballet and Contemporary Classes: Girls wear pastel pink leotards (without skirt or tutu), pink tights and ballet shoes (nude color recommended) Boys wear black pants, white or black shirt and black ballet shoes. Hip-Hop, Poms, and Performance: Comfortable clothes (no jeans) and clean-soled shoes. No street shoes. Jazz and Jazz II: Black pants (no bare knees), black leotard and black jazz shoes Mini Camps & Dance Days Programs: Comfortable clothes (no jeans) and clean-soled shoes. No street shoes. Ballet attire is encouraged. Themed Attire is accepted, as long as it is not restrictive. Mini Camps Once Upon a Dance Mini Camps | Ages 4-6 Come enjoy a mini-camp experience that includes dance class, story time, and games! You will explore each camp’s theme through movement, stories, craft and media. Families and friends enjoy a small showcase on the last day of class. Please bring snack & water bottle.
