What Is Facebook?
Facebook is a social networking platform that allows
users to upload photos/videos, send messages and
keep in touch with their friends, family and favorite
companies. It is particularly useful for businesses, as
it allows for two-way communication with customers.
It’s also great for keeping an audience informed
and engaged.
Getting Started
Go to: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php.
1. Select “Business or Brand.”
2. Under “Page Name”, enter the full name of
your salon.
3. Important: Do not just enter “Paul Mitchell Salon.”
4. Under “Category”, type “Hair Salon” and select
this option.
5. Enter the address and phone number of your salon.
6. Make sure your page name is unique and
identifiable by using your salon’s full name.
Follow standard capitalization.
7. Make sure your profile avatar is 180x180 pixels.
