Beach Campout | All Ages
Pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars! Explore and
play near the lake with the whole family, sit around a crackling
campfire led by a Heller naturalist and then camp on the
beach. A campfire with s’mores and a light breakfast are provided;
6-person tents are available for an additional fee. Min/Max is
15/60. Registration deadline: Sep 27.

Sandy Quests | Grades 2-5
Create a map using natural materials and a GPS, track animals
that live along the lake or learn to build a survival shelter! Pick
What’s under your feet? Become a geologist and discover all
one adventure or join them all. These programs are entirely
the cool minerals and rocks that make up the beach! How many outdoors so please dress for the weather. 4 weeks. Min/Max is 6/12.

Enjoy family friendly activities in the Center from 11am-4pm

The one-of-a-kind Rosewood Beach Interpretive Center
celebrates our great Lake Michigan and its shoreline. The center
hosts a variety of ecological and nature programs for day camps,
local schools, and the general public. Casual visitors can also enjoy
interpretive signage throughout the site illustrating Rosewood’s
restoration efforts in progress and the fascinating lakefront
ecological system.
Fitness Programs
Rise and Shine Yoga | Ages 13 & Up
Start your day off in a relaxing way! Join us for yoga at the
Rosewood Beach. Yoga mats will be limited and available on a
first come first serve basis. Participants are encouraged to bring
their own equipment to these classes. In case of inclement
weather, class will be inside the Interpretive Center at Rosewood
Beach. For more information, call 847.579.4554. Fee is Recreation
Center Member/Resident/Non-resident. No class Sep 30 and Oct
Namaste right away!
