Each class starts with a swim workout, followed by time in the TRX studio for stretching and strengthening. Learn-to-Swim Practice/Family Swim hours are free to children and their guardians currently enrolled in our swim school. Fri 4:30am-6pm Sun 10:30am-Noon (The regular fee is required for all other swim times.) Parent & Tot Water Orientation Pre-Lesson Swim Assessments Children who have never taken swim lessons are recommended to begin in Paddlers 1 unless otherwise approved by the Aquatics Coordinator or Recreation Supervisor. If your child has taken lessons at another facility or has taken lessons at the park district but not recently it is recommended that a pre-lesson swim assessment be conducted. Pre-lesson assessments are free services provided to ensure students get placed in the proper level. For more information and to sign up, please contact Jenny Campbell at 847.579.4052 Swimmers who are too young to begin in the Learn-to- Swim program or not ready to leave mom and dad’s side are encouraged to enroll in our water introduction classes. Children will be eased into water comfortability and begin to gain independence. Helps babies and toddlers develop swimming readiness. One parent or caregiver must accompany each child in the water. Children who are not toilet-trained must wear a swim diaper and tight-fitting pants over diaper (no disposable or cloth diapers). Min/Max 6/12.
