Group Exercise Classes
The Recreation Center of Highland Park offers over 110 drop-in group exercise classes a week included with annual membership
fees. Classes are available to meet everyone’s level and availability. View the current group exercise schedule visit: pdphp.org.
Aquatics
Get a complete cardio and conditioning workout without
impact or stress to your joints. Classes are in shallow water
and include cardiovascular and resistance training, as well
as suspension work and stretching.
Indoor Cycling
Indoor cycling class use a stationary exercise bike with a weighted
flywheel to focus on endurance, interval, and high Intensity cardio
training. Classes are varied, and driven by music! Get ready to sweat!
Cardiovascular
Energize your body by elevating your heart rate in
cardiovascular classes that feature exercises that condition your
most important muscle – your heart – while burning calories.
Strength
Strengthen your muscles by doing resistance training using
barbells, dumbbells, and body weight exercises. Building
muscle not only makes you stronger, but raises your
metabolism!
Mind & Body
Focus on the connection between your mind and body.
Achieve better self-awareness, flexibility, posture, balance,
and strength. Classes will involve relaxation, meditation,
core exercises, and yoga poses.
