Group Exercise Classes
The Recreation Center of Highland Park offers over 85 drop-in group exercise classes a week included with annual membership

Aquatics
Our aquatic sessions provide great workouts in the pool
that incorporate cardio, muscular conditioning, and
flexibility while maintaining a low impact for your joints.
Indoor Cycling
If you can ride a bike, this class is for you! Break away from your
workout routine to climb hills, sprint flats, and everything in
between. These high-energy classes will have you working on
cardiovascular while strengthening your legs. Perfect for all levels.
Cardiovascular
Energize your body by elevating your heart rate in
cardiovascular classes that feature exercises that condition your
most important muscle – your heart – while burning calories.
Strength
Strengthen your muscles by doing resistance training using
barbells, dumbbells, and body weight exercises. Building
muscle not only makes you stronger, but builds your
metabolism! Higher metabolism means you’re burning more
calories even when not exercising!
Mind & Body
Focus on the connection between your mind and body.
Achieve better self-awareness, flexibility, posture, balance,
and strength. Classes will involve relaxation, meditation,
core exercises, and yoga poses.
