Specifically for patients with Atrial Fibrillation, yoga has been shown to improve symptoms, heart rate, blood pressure, anxiety, depression and improve quality of life. In this 12 week class led by a licensed physical therapist and certified yoga instruc- tor, participants will learn breathing and awareness skills, postures, and relaxation techniques to reduce stress, improve physical function and feel better in general. Alina Elperin MD will teach her listeners the dangers of unhealthy weight and why it is so difficult to lose weight and maintain weight loss. She will also share how a multidisciplinary approach to weight loss including a physi- cian, a nutritionist, a psychologist and exercise physiologist can lead to lasting success in weight loss.
