EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMING , GROUP TOURS & BIRTHDAYS
School programs include opportunities to live the life of a pioneer , get hands-on with plants and animals and experience our fragile ecosystem .
Programs for scouts , seniors , camps and other groups include trail walks , sleepovers and nature talks . Minimum group requirements apply . Visit glenviewparks . org for a list of programs available to scouts for badge requirements .
The Traveling Trunk is our education outreach which will visit your school , camp , daycare , senior center or special event for a one-hour program led by our trained staff . Turtles , toads and snakes are just some of the animals who will come for this hands-on program .
Invite a snake or turtle to your child ’ s next birthday party when you host it at The Grove ! See page 85 for party options that are truly wild !
RESTORATION WORK DAYS
AGES 8 + YRS . Make a difference in the environment ! Collect seeds or remove non-native , invasive plants to make way for native wildflowers , grasses and trees . No advance registration necessary — just bring your work gloves if you have them and meet at the Interpretive Center at either The Grove or Air Station Prairie :

NATURAL SCIENCE CLASSROOM
Located in the Interpretive Center
Enhance your understanding of nature through hands-on exhibits , science equipment and self-guided activities . Grove staff and volunteers are happy to interpret and offer assistance on Saturdays and Sundays , 9 am-5 pm . Special themes are highlighted monthly .

FREE TRAIL WALKS
Guided trail walks are ideal for families and individuals and those who are interested in nature .
