GROUP FITNESS CLASSES If you want to take an unlimited number of classes without being a member, we offer a 30 consecutive day or yearly Unlimited Group Fitness Class Pass. Pass does not include the fitness center, locker rooms or pool usage. GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Group Fitness Classes take place in Studio I, Studio II, the Spin Studio or another room appropriate to the activity. Group Water Fitness classes are held indoors at Splash Landings and outdoors at Flick Pool. The group fitness schedule is available on our website (getfitglenview.org). A mobile app version of the group fitness schedule can be downloaded for free for use on iOs and Android mobile devices. GROUP CARDIO & STRENGTH CLASSES Barre Burn: A barefoot (optional) body sculpting and fat burning work- out that challenges all major muscle groups. Use the ballet bar, free weights and mat to create a more defined, stronger, leaner you. Chisel: High reps, light weights and a dash of cardio sprinkled in to keep the heart rate up! Work with Janell, a PCHF Personal Trainer, in this fun, upbeat class to start off your weekend. FUNctional Fitness: Looking for fresh ways to safely build strength, balance and a healthy heart? Enjoy this fun twist on functional, low impact exercises. H.I.I.T.: High Intensity Interval Training class members give all-out effort through quick bursts of exercise followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. Hit It! P.O.W.E.R.: The Hit It!® P.O.W.E.R. class is a cardiovascular, resistance and core-based interval class incorporating moves derived from boxing and MMA training. Power Punch gloves with resistance bands are used to build strength. Senior Fit: Workout on the lighter side – includes muscle toning and balance work. ShockWave: High-intensity inter- val training in a 30 or 45 minute circuit training class, utilizing WaterRowers as the cardio centerpiece. Strength/Power Strength: Strengthen with weights, tubing, fit- ness balls, medicine balls and dumb- bells. Proper technique and form are emphasized to create a workout that is effective, fun and safe. Strike: High level cardiovascular conditioning using sport-specific moves from boxing on the heavy bags. Partner, group and individual work in drills and combinations improve muscular strength, flexibility, agility, coordination and balance. Strong: Music Driven HIIT: This workout using the principles of interval training to get stronger, increase endur- ance, build your aerobic and anaerobic capacity and improve balance. class will push you past your plateaus to help you reach your fitness goals faster.
