PANASONIC ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCTS AT IBC2015 by Alexis Lee

Panasonic will be showcasing Broadcast and ProAV products, including newly developed IP connectivity and studio solutions that ensure improved integratin. The range of products at IBC2015 will include two new Studio Cameras, a new multi-purpose 4K box camera and a new 4K camcorder. Also included will be a solution for improved news production using network connections and recent news about the VariCam 35.

Panasonic will again be showcasing their wide range of Broadcast and AV products at IBC2015. In current development and of particular interest are IP connectivity and studio solutions that improve integration.

The following products were announced at NAB2015 and will be showcased at IBC2015:

Two Studio Cameras:

The new 4K studio camera, the AK-UC3000 and Sony's flagship model, AK-HC5000 will be available for viewing.

The AK-UC3000 series 4K Studio Handy Camera is a 4K broadcast-use camera equipped with a newly developed MOS sensor. Operated in HD format, it has excellent operability with B4-mount HD lenses, and achieves high sensitivity HD images (f10/2000lx) with low noise (S/N 60 dB). In addition to features found in the conventional model, like DRS and CineGamma, the AK-UC3000 series adds focus assist, flash band compensation and skew reduction realized through high-speed scan from the MOS sensor.

All features combine to allow the AK-UC3000 series to achieve excelelnt image quality and operability.

Panasonic AK-UC3000 Studio Handy Camera

Panasonic's AK-UB300 4K multi-purpose camera that is ideal for remote studio work, weather and traffic reporting, sports and image magnification. The UB300 has a one-inch MOS sensor that outputs a UHD signal up to 3840x2160/59.95p/50p and can simultaneously output D (up to 1080/59.94p/50p/

The camera uses existing 2/3-inch lenses and features high sensitivity (F10/2000lx), low noise (S/N 60dB) and dynamic range measured at 600% (-6dB~36dB). The UB300 is upwardly compatible with Panasonic's comprehensive line of high-performance indoor/outdoor pan-tilt systems.

Streaming video output is available in several forms and formats, and at a wide range of transmission speeds. For remote production and video acquisition, four simultaneous streams are available in either H.264 or JPEG. Video resolutions of up to 1080/60p are available at rates of up to 24Mbps. For IP-Live remote monitoring and control, up to 10 cameras can be viewed simultaneously in a single browser window, with extensive on-screen camera controls available when a single camera is selected for monitoring.
