Eros Convention – March 3-5, 2017

“A View from A Booth”

By DeGrey

I will begin this coverage by saying that I am glad the vendors in the booth areas, especially on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the Annex were not charged for renting space. In a word those areas were “dead-zones”. No traffic, even when a party event was held in the Annex the activity was all held on the 1st floor. The Eros Leadership “camped” on the 1st floor. There were no guided tours and DJs seldom mentioned the areas outside the venue of their broadcast. Attempts were made to get Eros Leadership to “broadcast” via Purple Crayon promotional blurbs, even to the point of sending blubs to convention leaders scripts via messages. Three days of a lot of preparation and coverage for very little payoff. Perhaps other vendors were more fortunate? Many of the booths were never manned. Maybe those vendors were the “smart ones”. A pictorial collage presented here will give you a ‘feel’ for what you did not miss. On the bright side the Auction, held in the Main Convention Hall, was a lot of fun. Bids were outrageous because clams © have no street value but the bidding was fast, furious and spirited. Now if the Eros Leadership Team can inject that spirit into the other aspects of the promotional side of the convention they would have a convention worth the price of admission – oh wait – they already do.
