This has given you the extraordinary opportunity to move into this second half of this professional year with a clear mandate.
Not only that, when Venus left she not only wrapped up her own month long visit, but five months of planetary activity. Last yet it took barely five weeks for all planets to move through. In addition you had double the amount of planets this year. This has put an extraordinary amount of focus on career matters, standing you in good stead for the rest of the year. You know what you want, you have all the resources you need and it will take very little to keep career matters on track. Venus’ departure was when the professional gods went back to their default setting, which is on the work and job front.
For unlike your career sector, which is only active a few weeks or months out of every year, you have Pluto in your work sector from 2008 to 2024. It is the early part of the month that will be the most important for work and job matters, after which things will largely continue to plod along. For with Pluto in retrograde motion this is supposed to be a quiet point of the year. Pluto is under some pressure until the 8th August. However, this is positive pressure, the kind that can get things done and make things happen. This is important, for the Moon will not only move through from the 4th August to the 7th August, but coming full circle from last month’s Full Moon, could bring unexpected developments.
Virgo August 2017 Horoscope: Love, Money & Career

Across many areas of your life you are likely to find that the wind has been taken out of your sails or there is the desire or the need to spend more time in life’s slow lane. This is par for the course at this time of year, with the first three weeks of August always the final weeks of your old solar year. Until returning to Virgo on the 23rd August to begin your birthday month and new solar year, the Sun will spend his time in a nostalgic part of your chart. As happens at this time every year. This year this might be more extreme because you also have Mars here as well. Not due to return to Virgo until early next month, the six week wind down of your current Mars cycle will be in effect the whole month.
This does bring a need to avoid pushing yourself and making time to hear yourself think. However, this won’t be debilitating. In fact, with a total solar eclipse in this reflective part of your chart on the 22nd August, this could be a time for coming up with great ideas or flashes of inspiration. When you give yourself permission to take time out to hear yourself think, you create the potential for new ideas to take shape.
A combination of Venus leaving your career sector on the 1st August, Jupiter moving into his final two months in your income sector on the 11th August and a lunar eclipse in your work sector on the 8th August, will keep you busy. This creates a good month across the income, work and career fronts. Thanks to Venus this will also be a social and serendipitous month, with little chance to shutting yourself off from life. What you will savour though, is any down time, when you do have time to hear yourself think.

While things are fairly quiet on the romantic and relationship fronts this month, for once the quiet is for all the right reasons. This is a period of your life where there is long term planetary activity on both the romantic and relationship fronts, with Pluto in your romantic sector until 2024 and Neptune in your relationship sector until 2026. They are also both in retrograde motion at this time of year, with each year having a built in review phase.
The last few years haven’t been kind to your relationships, with a huge amount of cosmic activity in Virgo putting you and your relationship needs in conflict. That is not the case this year, despite the fact that Mercury will spend the whole month in Mercury. That’s because Mercury will turn retrograde on the 13th August, before he can move into opposition with Neptune in your relationship sector. Instead there is nothing but support. Especially from Venus, planet of love who is in a social and serendipitous part of your chart until the 26th August.
From this position Venus will create some serendipitous conditions for friendship and relationship building and especially for healing. This will be in effect until the 26th August, but will be especially potent around the 12th/13th August and again around the 24th August. This does put Venus in opposition with Pluto in your romantic sector, but wakeup calls from the planet of love are the kind you want. Especially with the doors open to the past and second chances.
Money 2017 Virgo August 2017 Money Horoscope
While you have reached a good and important month for both income and money matters, the experience is so different that you almost have two separate financial months. The best part is, that while income and money matters are on two very different paths this month, those paths won’t cross so we’re not going to get the financial tension we had earlier in the year, when they clashed.
With income and money matters in their own lane, this allows you to play two separate but interdependent games. For if there is anything you learned from the first half of the year, it is the importance of a balance between money coming in and money going out. What you don’t have is the money gods policing this, this month. On the income front you have lucky Jupiter coming into his own. Due to leave on the 11th October, Jupiter is now in his final two months and with the Sun returning next month, is in his last full month on his own.
