Eros Island Update on the Move

The move to the new address for Eros Island has proven to be an adventure. There had been warnings and mentioning’s at the last town meeting at the UV-Eros location. That this was going to take time and patients. Some didn't realize this move was going to be such a time consuming event.
The first town meeting in the new location was to cover some issues that were being worked on and updates on how things were going.
Some issues that were discussed by Blow Torch. Fees, everyday there were strange fees charged to the accounts but before they were there was a salary paid to the account. So there was truly no cost coming out of the resident but it was a bit confusing. It has since the meeting been taken care of so problem 1 taken care of. The next problem that was talked about was the error messages, the logging message were confusing. Few bumps getting past the messages but many were understanding with them knowing that Crash was busy trying to fix the data errors. And many of those have stopped.
Some are issues that have to do with a box in a corner of the screen when in world that pops up and there is no obvious way to make it stop. Avatars not being the correct sex. Some had to start different account if they didn't want to wait till that is fixed down the road.
Other problems the residents of Eros can fix for themselves. The zoom issue was the easiest fix so far. The Eros team put together a Youtube video to help show the residents how to fix it themselves. It is easy to follow and something that could be fixed by the individual and not have to wait for Crash.
There are different dims for each of the locations. And you can’t see them no way to go from one to another without logging out and back in. One being the chat box, making the background darker and enlarging it. When the game client is stable this will be changed. But there are issues that are before this, like clothing.
Getting the beta game up and going is going to take time. Getting things stable has to be first. It is not a full version so changes are still being made. All accounts from Eros are transferred, sadly this program at the time doesn't allow for multiple avatar accounts on one email. Clams when they will be exchanged, some had an issue with waiting. Blow Torch had those email him so that he could deal with those issues. Some poking fun at the requests for things to be fixed, Skally wants bigger Junk in his pants. And there will be no having the ability to make your avi look pregnant. Some of the things that Blow Torch talked about were adding things, improving mobility when walking, being able to walk backwards.
Blow Torch thanked everyone for sticking around. He explained the reason for the work still to be done to the world. Original designers never had played MMO so when they got hold of it there was lots to do. And only one Crash to do the programing.
Going forward there will be interviews done by Crash if you are a member and you would like to help out contact Crash. He was one of the original designers of this game he just has to remember how... it can be labor intensive, 5 min each...just a 3-4 a day. Crash in contact with the other original builders and they seem to be amicable to helping Crash with issues.
Designer packs? As soon as they have the ability to do that Illusive is in charge of designers she will be working to get those positions filled for deco and clothes, email her if you are interested. Email [email protected] to get on the list. It is still a work in progress...BT and crash still learning the different parts of the program. And the residents are learning how to get around. The Dj's have started to do shows again but the ability to stream in world is not yet possible so many have sites that they can stream to and the people at the party can get the music.
The staff has not changed for Eros Island even though the address has. Owners are Blow Torch, Crash and Illusive. The guides, moderators and AshWyld who is in charge of the weddings, they will begin again on April 17th. Roxie is now Manda and still the events manager and the events team is still the same. The staff have the same powers as before. The rules are the same as before.
Many think, read bullies or were told that Eros Island had closed. It has only separated from Utherverse. Illusive will choose a new world leader, Crash's role is the developer and Blow Torch is in charge of the community. They ask that everyone continue to be the community that they were at the old address. If you see a new person help if you can. Welcome the new people and help the community grow and get back on its feet. There is a plan in place to get things up and running but it is going to just take time. Some things that were mentioned that are on the list.

This is a complicated piece of software it will take time to make changes once they get the game figured out. Right now working on getting it stable give Crash time to get it up and running.
So until all the bugs and such are fixed. Explore the new world, go to the Hotel Lobby and buy some clothes, get some plastic surgery, get your hair done and over to the tat shop for a bloody tattoo. To rebuild takes time.
