design trends GOOD DESIGN NEVER DIES A major trend seems to come together at a moment’s notice says Lynne McArdle T rends come and go. Trends give us something to look forward to. They keep us excited. Identifying the next hot trend is the I think design is such a personal thing. Designs, materials, and colours can be interwoven in innumerable combinations, but the most successful design brings these elements together with subtle nuances to align with the emerging trend. What I have come to realise is that what one of us likes may not be what will ultimately work, but by bringing very pleasing. We look for exceptional lines, perfect proportions, excellent becomes a drawing, which becomes a sample. We then criteria come together in one piece of furniture it produces a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. as the decorative. Good design never goes out of style it just becomes adapted. Study a home full of items collected over a lifetime by someone with an eye for design. The eclectic collection continually turning to the past to lead us into the future. An old movie, an antique, even nature, will inspire and begin the process. will bring a piece to life. For instance, a selection of exotic woods creates a very special look. Not only are shapes and styles a vital part of design, colour anchor to the accents. It is the basis against which accent pieces are selected. Colourful lamps and accessories must add individual tastes. The combination creates the real interest with the new colour trend. greys and rich exotic veneers embellished with accents of golden silvers. Shapes and lines appear to emphasise a clean, simple sophistication. The design approach is free to blend it all to build a diverse palette for each unique personality. I am looking forward with anticipation to seeing and along the back or the arm of a chair, feel the shape of the hardware, the coldness of the metal and the warmth of the wood.
