ROBERT COUTURIER’S PARADISES
Robert Couturier is known for composing
book Designing Paradises, written in collaboration with Tim McKeough, shows
how his passion for luxury and beauty propels his multifaceted
work. The book opens with a tour of his country retreat in
Kent, Connecticut. Composed of neoclassical–style pavilions,
early American guesthouses and beautiful gardens, the house
by Lapicida cleverly interweaves three
naturally occurring Travertine colours –
Titanium, Parchment and Silver. The design
is further enhanced by having been vertically
vein cut, allowing the natural beauty of the
intricate layers of stone to be fully revealed.
