mADE’s got By: Irena Djourelova talent Introduction Without even mentioning school work and projects, we can reassure you that mADE has got talent. We walked around the campus in search of pure talent and we weren’t disappointed. We got to know a little more about the people around us who know how to pursue their passion. Julius Fiedler is only 19 years old, but he already has some impressive performing experience as a DJ. He first started making music for fun. “I do it for myself, it’s nice to have something you can do on your own”. After he got invited to play his sets at a birthday party of a friend, Julius started taking his hobby to the next level, performing at local clubs. Now, he’s part of the DJ duo called BTD, together with Otto Meyer. The music they create is in the genre of electro-house or as Julius describes “it’s simply” - “. . . positive, energetic, and motivating”. If you were at the Camp Lost after party, you’ve probably seen Julius performing. However, the biggest success of BTD remains DJ’ing at the big Holy Gaudy festival in Cologne, Germany. Francesco Lekatompessy may only be 20 but he already has nine years of dancing experience behind him. He is currently a hip hop and popping teacher at Urban Dance Studios. As a creative mind and a born leader, Francesco doesn’t have any problems teaching people five years older than he is. “It’s all about establishing your position right in the beginning, claiming that Alfa-bond”. Unlike most of the dancers, Francesco doesn’t seek the spotlight, he prefers using his creativity and social abilities to improve the dancing skills others. “I like seeing people reproduce the imagery I have in my head”. 39 Interior_Brewed_Oktober2014.indd 39 22-10-14 12:11
