game industry veteran for IGAD. Curious to know all

Role within NHTV
I’m Will, Education manager for IGAD. So a combination
of visionary paladin, and grumpy old bastard.
Previous experience
Lots of different places from EA in LA to Ubi in Paris.
Most LOL moment as game developer
Whilst recording car engines I once drove a car into a
lake, that was rather amusing.
I got lost during an ice storm in a desert whilst recording
weapons… I mean really, what are the odds? I spend
months planning a trip to a desert and then almost
drown in a flash flood.
Why game development?
I didn’t purposely choose this career path . I had a
hobby and people kept paying me to do things, and
then one day I noticed that an industry had sprung up.
So I got lucky!

Favourite game(s)
Even though i’ve been working in this industry for a long time,
I still enjoy gaming. The beauty of an ever changing industry is
there is always something new to look forward to.
Currently enjoying GTA5 and Shadow of Mordor. All time
favourite is probably Mario Kart.
Favourite outside activities
There’s an outside? When I do visit the mythical outside,
you’ll find me climbing or surfing.

Coffee!
General tips for IGAD first years!
Always get up after waking up, rather than before to avoid
confusion.
Don’t panic it will be fine
Keep yourself fit and healthy and enjoy life.
