What is the most interesting thing you learned ? In NHTV projects , I usually worked in relatively small teams and often had a leading role . Working as an intern in a bigger project , where a lot of things are already established , and having to make sure my work fits into that is probably the most interesting thing I ’ ve learned .
Were the assignments you did connected to what you learned at NHTV ? Definitely . I don ’ t feel like what I ’ m doing now is that much more different from what I did last year , the main change is how much bigger and more organized the teams are .
Do you have any tips for the upcoming interns ? When looking for an internship in the games industry , try and meet with someone in the company ( preferably someone with a high status in the company ) and ask if they can refer you – that makes getting to have an interview a lot more likely . If you ’ re moving out of the Netherlands , make sure you have everything sorted before you go . If your passport is about to expire , make sure you extend it while still officially living in the Netherlands .
