New Teaching, New Tools equals New Learning At St. Josephine Bakhita Elementary, staff recognizes the rapidly changing world that our students live in and strive to provide Catholic based instruction that is informative & creative through technology such as SMART Boards. As students learn in the 21st century, staff at Bakhita collaboratively focuses on instructional practices that will give students the framework to engage in problems and communicate via web based platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. The staff at St. Josephine Bakhita is confident that ongoing discussion about best teaching practices combined with new and innovative resources will best prepare the students with the tools necessary for meaningful service within their community. They make us feel connected not only to each other, but to something bigger – to the flow of life, to the past and to the future. In this hectic, high-tech world, we need this sense of connection. In fact, we crave it. It helps us understand where we’ve come from, who we are, where we’re going, and why we’re going there. In connection there is contentment, purpose, and meaning. One of our best hopes for the future is to pursue opportunities and programs that bring generations together.
