HACE Co-op Graduation Ceremony, January 2015
Through the HACE co-op student
program, the BAC was lucky to have
Mackaylie Jessop join us in October
2014. Mackaylie is a Grade 12 student at Bramalea Secondary School
and will be graduating in June this
year. If you called our office between
October and January, it was her
enthusiastic voice you would have
been greeted with. We miss her, but
wish her all the best in her future
endeavours.
As part of the program, Mackaylie
wrote a weekly blog post summarizing her experience. Here is a condensed excerpt from her final entry.
“Well, my co-op term has come to an
end and so has my blogging. Today
will be my final blog. I want to thank
everyone at my work profoundly for
everything they have done for me.
They have been such a huge help!
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
MARCH 24, 2015
The Brampton Arts Council’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in
the City Hall’s Council Chambers on March 24, 2015 with registration
starting at 7:00 p.m. and the meeting commencing at 7:30 p.m.
This is an opportunity to learn what the BAC did for its members in 2014 and
what we have planned for this year. According to our constitution, members
who are in good standing (have paid the 2015 membership by February 24,
2015) have the opportunity to vote on issues. Members who paid after that
deadline are also encouraged to attend and are welcome to join us, after the
AGM has adjourned, for a reception, and to partake of refreshments, listen to
entertainment and network with your peers. Please RSVP to the BAC office at
905-874-2919 or email [email protected]. We are looking forward to
seeing you.

BAC ARTS TALK | VOL 28 ISSUE 1 DECEMBER 2014 - FEBRUARY 2015
I wish my time didn’t have to come to
an end yet because I love it here. But
all good things come to an end and
mine is coming to an end. Throughout
my co-op term I have said it has gone
by too fast, but I didn’t realize how fast
until today. It’s over and it feels like it’s
just beginning. Wow. Time. Flies.
I loved doing Art in the Open at the beginning of my placement. I loved being
there in the early morning to be able
to see all of the different arts there are.
And I adored the Business of the Arts
workshop weekend. All of the workshops that I went to were amazingly
amazing! It has ended all too soon!”
