Our Law Summer School comprises of two current and highly relevant 2-week modules: Introduction to International Business Law and Introduction to Civil and Criminal Law run at our centrally located Law School in Waterloo, London. Both modules run consecutively and you may enrol for one or both of the modules: 03 – 14 July 2017: Introduction to International Business Law The two week programme is aimed to introduce to you the key concepts of the English legal system within the context of an international business transaction. The module will cover key elements of contract law and equity & trusts as a foundation for basic company law principles of English law. You will be able to develop your knowledge of contract law and learn how to utilise analytical tools to evaluate legal decisions. You will be able to put into practice skills required for your mediation, negotiation and client interviewing skills and advance your commercial awareness and business understanding. 17 – 28 July 2017: Introduction to Civil and Criminal Law The two week programme has the purpose to introduce you to key concepts of the English legal system within the context of civil and criminal law of English Law. You will learn how substantive tort law and criminal law apply in practice and how the court structure operates in England and Wales. We will equip you with crucial analytical skills you need to in order to evaluate legal decisions in civil and criminal prosecutions. You will learn how to prepare and construct coherent legal arguments and put your newly acquired skills into practice during our exciting mock trial performed by members of the English Bar. Tuition Fees £ 1,200 Tuition Fees £ 1,200 Students have to be at undergraduate level or above studying Law with a level of English equivalent to an IELTS of 6.0.
