Dušan Vojnov (BRD) A long, long time ago in a land far, far away, there was a magnificent forest where a BRD lives. The BRD is a cute, crazy, frank and a blood-thirsty bird. But that little bird wouldn’t insult and annoy the other, nor it would talk with herself today, had it not been for Dušan Vojinov, whose figment of imagination it is. Dušan is the art director and graphic designer in Orange studion, and on the list of the clients, for who he worked some of the graphic works, there are enlisted Knjaz Miloš, Hemofarm, Red Star F.C., Immocentre, Sinalco, Telekom Srbija and many other gigantic brends. However, despite all the obligations he has, Dušan succeeds in having some time for drawing the comics about the little distracted bird. Here is what he says about BRD... I am a huge fan of your mini comics BRD! Now, first I’d like to knoe is... Why those particular birds and how have you got an idea to create the minimalistic comics? Why have you chosen that particular style? Thanks! I’m glad you like it. There are many people that like the comic, but there are a few of the real fans. Some people are just attracted with the cute drawing, but when they realise the gravity and the darkness that have been behind the story and the humor, unfortunately, gave up. The character of the bird was for couple of months languished in the folder “rejected”, because I just didn’t want to give up on it. I considered to use the design for something else. Somehow at the same time, I was thinking about creating a comic again. From my childhood I enjoyed reading and drawing the comics. but since for a long time now I have professionally been into design, I don’t have enough time, so I only read them. When it comes to the aesthetics, I have tried to create the fusion of the three things I really love: minimalism, graphic design and comics. For that reason, the comic has been very recognizable, and I am very satisfied with the result. Where do you find the inspiration for all those men-
